The confirmation of Adam Pudil: the jewel of Slavia, Best Czech Player of the CEE Cup 2023

Physicality, technique, resourcefulness. The award for best Czech of the CEE Cup 2023 was won by Adam Pudil, in a head-to-head with other teammates and 'rivals' of Sparta. An award that, in the end, could only end up in the hands of the class of 2005 Slavia player, one of the purest talents of the Czech football movement.

It is no coincidence that his qualities did not go unnoticed by Jindrich Trpisovsky, who had him make his debut in the Europa League against Fenerbahce and then proposed him again in the Conference League in the 4-1 win against LASK Linz in March 2022.

In the CEE Cup final, Pudil's goal served to restore hope to Slavia Prague after Palmeiras had taken a two goal lead, but it was not enough for Slavia, who was unable to complete the comeback in front of a packed Dolicek.

The class of 2005 fielded the usual personality, combined with technical and physical skills, trying to drag his teammates in a match fought from start to finish, no holds barred, in which the two teams battled over every ball in their attempt to win the eleventh edition of the CEE Cup.

In the end, Pudil had to give up, as did his teammates, but only after giving everything they had on the pitch.

Under the eyes of the U19 coach, David Holoubek, Ambassador of the CEE Cup, and the U21 coach of the Czech Republic, Jan Suchoparek, the 17-year-old showed all his talent from the point of view of leadership and technical-tactical aspect, earning on the field the award for best Czech player of the tournament.

A trophy that is a testament to his skills and the goals scored so far, waiting for the personal and team successes that Adam Pudil will achieve during a career that promises to be full of satisfactions.
