Best Scorer: A clever midfielder was in all Sarajevo goals

13.08.2018 14:00

Đani Salčin, from FK Sarajevo, who scored four goals in four matches, was the best scorer of the eighth edition of the CEE Cup.

Salcin was absolutely striking in his team. Wearing the captain's belt, he handed great assists, quickly and easily sped out of the encirclements, kicked both left and right and realized the penalties with coldness. He beat the keeper in all three penalty kicks he had available during the tournament. Besides the fact that he scored four times, he provided the assists in the next three goals, thus being involved in all seven of his team.

The left-wing offensive midfielder came to Sarajevo from Velez Mostar in the summer of 2014 and shortly before the CEE Cup he managed to extend the contract until 2021. In his country he also belongs to the youth representative. With Bosnia U17 he passed both qualifications to the European Championship Main Event 2017, where the Bosnians fell out of the main group.

The name of Dani Salčin is certainly one of those recorded in the scouts' notes during the CEE Cup. If he stays in Sarajevo, he can look forward to attending the Youth League, the Youth Championship season of the Champions League.
